Indiana locations

One line of Rizer's settled in Tippecanoe Co., Indiana.

Most of these were siblings who had moved from Maryland, to Preble Co., Ohio, then to Tippecanoe Co., Indiana. They left Maryland in the late 1820s.

Sophia Rizer was married to Jacob Bartmess. They entered Tippecanoe Co. in 1829.

Her brothers there were William Rizer married to Catherine Stewart,

Benjamin Rizer married to Malinda Strother,

and Philip Rizer married to Elizabeth. This latter couple both died in the late 1830s in Tippecanoe Co.

There was also sister Catharine Rizer married to Rezin Barnes.

 And a cousin Joseph Rizer married to Elizabeth Fisher. They both died in the early 1840s in Tippecanoe Co.

 Another family line settled in White Co., Indiana. They left Washington Co, Maryland after the head of their line died. This was George W. Rizer who died in 1853. He was married to Mary Bryan. Their children in White Co., Indiana were:

Harriet Rizer married to James Allman

Sophia Rizer married to George McClelland Bridge

Philip Rizer married to Evaline Sibbert

Another child of George Rizer and Mary Bryan was Eleanor Rizer. Eleanor married William Trail and lived in Vernon Co., Wisconsin.
