William DORRIS born about 1760 in Simpson County, KY.  He married Catherine FROST in 1784.

They had the following children:

Son, William DORRIS born about 1788 in Simpson County, KY.

Son, Samuel Frost DORRIS born November 20, 1789 in Simpson County, KY.   He married Susanna PITT on either the 13 or 21 of November 1811.   Samuel Frost DORRIS died on October 16, 1875.

Daughter, Rebecca DORRIS born February 22, 1793/4 in Simpson County, KY.  She married Samuel HENDRICKS on October 4, 1813.  Rebecca DORRIS died on September 17, 1835.

Daughter, Elizabeth DORRIS born abt. 1795 in Simpson County, KY.

Daughter, Catherine DORRIS born September 2, 1799 in Simpson County, KY.  She married Drew EDWARDS on either the 23 or 25 of November 1821.  Catherine DORRIS died in 1881.

Daughter, Tabitha DORRIS born on January 12, 1894 in Simpson County, KY.  She married John Thompson HENDRICKS between 25-30 of July 1818.   Tabitha DORRIS died on January 8, 1891.

Daughter, Lovina DORRIS born December 9, 1806 in Summer County, Tennesee.  She married Pleasant MAYES on January 11, 1825.  Lovina DORRIS died on June 9, 1877.

Daughter, Drusilla DORRIS born on February 8, 1810 in Summer County, Tennesee.  She married James HENDRICKS in 1825.
