This is the self acclaimed home of internet McElhone information. It is maintained by me (Roger Thorogood) with advice and encouragement of my wife Lorna McElhone. Census, and other source records
This page will be modified from time to time. It
contains McElhone
information and dead ends. If you have any information to share or want
to get more information on what you see here, send me mail. This information
is posted in a spirit of sharing. It contains the results of many years of
work by many McElhone researchers. You are free to use the information
for your personal use and download at will. However, you should not publish
or sell this information without permission of the originator. Contact
me to obtain this permission.
I really have no idea how many names are now on these pages. There
is an index which includes over 890 names, not all of which are on family
pages. Some pages which I have added since the index was created have names
which are not in the index. The indexed names are of McElhone descendants,
their spouses and the parents of spouses where available. I have tried to
mark all people that are or may be living with Private. They are not included
in any genealogy pages. They may be included in the census pages. For
each name I have the file the name is related to, the name, and if not a
Private name, the name of spouse if known, birth and death year if known.
Someday these indexes will link to the appropriate place in the family file,
but for now this is what we get. If you can add dates or spouses or
more people, please let me know and I will get them added as quickly as I
can.
