Territory.
Her marriage record gives:
William Bailey Esqr. and Miss Missouri Caldwell all of Franklin Co., Mo.;
married on 15 February 1844 by Daniel Q. Gall, Justice of County Court at
Franklin Co., Mo.; the hand written index and the consolidated hand written
index have William Baley. (Franklin Co Mg Bk A:224).
The husband of Missouri was William L. Bailey. (there was another Wm.
Bailey in the area also that was not related.)
William L. Bailey was the son of Caleb Bailey and Rachel ? Caleb was
one of the earliest settlers of Franklin Co Mo. It is believed that
Missouri was the 2d wife of William. He had one daughter Judith [born abt.
1841] at that time who became the step daughter of Missouri. It is
believed that Judith's mother was Mary Phillips who married William Bailey
2 Jun 1840.
Missouri died before 1869 because William L. Bailey married again 20 Aug
1869 to Juline Caldwell in Union, Franklin Co. Mo.
