The third child of James C. and Margaret A. Hays was born
1859 in Dallas Co., Missouri. (1860 c.)
We do not yet have a record of his marriage but he appears
to be the James Sweaney buried in Sweaney Cem.: b. Apr 1858 and
died 8 Sept 1938.
In 1894 he is listed in his father's probate record as
F. J. Sweaney. It is possible that his middle name is Francis.
The 1880 census shows a Frank Sweaney living next to James C.
(with Eugene Adams - review original record)
Dallas Co. birth records also list a J. I. Sweaney b. ca
1860 md to Margaret Stewart. Their second child, Nellie, was
born 12 March 1885.
