The third child of Barbra Margret Sweaney and Claybourne
McVey was born 14 Aug 1869 in Dallas Co., MO.
She married about 1883 to Aborn Andrew Bennett (Kimey). He
was the son of Abijah B. Bennett and Nancy Dugan. He was born
1862 in Dallas Co., MO.
Researcher Craig Hubbard states that this family lived in a
log cabin up a creek from the main headwaters of Bennett Springs
State Park.
Kimey Bennett died in 1901 at Windyville. Nancy died 16 Oct
1937
(1) Minnie BENNETT b. Sept 1884; md Lillard Rice. They have a
son who runs a dairy on Hwy K.
(3) Galen Harrison BENNETT b. 1 July 1888 in Dallas Co., MO.
Md Lula Jones and 2nd Bertha Patton, 8 Sept 1920. He
died 9 Dec 1952 and is buried at Lone Rock. (Obit,5)
They had three children: Margie Garret, Juanita
Williams of K.C.; and Melvin Bennett of Windyville.
(4) Susie Margaret BENNETT was born 22 Feb 1892 at Buffalo, MO.
She md William I. McKee in 1908. She died 1 Dec 1952
and is buried at Ridge Park Cem, Marshall, MO. (See
obit.)
(4) Ona Orpha BENNETT was born 29 Jan 1895; md Irvin Hildebrand
29 March 1912, the son of Emery and Betty Ginnings
Hildebrand. (See Hildebrand Saga). She died 2 Jan
1980. (see Naomi HIldebrand Stafford at Fair Grove, MO)
(5) Ressie BENNETT was born Mar 1896. She md Fate Thomas, 2nd
______ 3rd to _______ 4th to Thomas Gibson
(6) Bessie BENNETT was born Dec 1897. She died of T.B. at age
16 and is buried at Lone Rock between her parents.
