WELCOME to the latest version of my genealogy web page. My database has now grown to almost 7000 indiviuals. I must confess that this is due primarily to the efforts of my "RESEARCH COUSINS" who have contributed the major portion of the data contained herein.
I admit to having taken some liberties with my interpretation of the data. Because of the way the database is structured, I am showing definite links between individuals, which in some cases is very shaky. This is true of the connection between John "The Highwayman" Rosamond and Sergeant Rosamond. Likewise, the Arledge/Aldrich/Aldridge/... data from Rev. Henry Aldridge back is questionable. A full discussion of this can be found on Pam Wilson's website, the ARLEDGE FAMILY HISTORY PROJECT.
I have the genealogy files broken down into four parts as described below under the heading of "PRIMARY FAMILIES".It is my hope that the information presented here on my family and the other families will be of help to other family historians. If in your research you find an error in my data (and there certainly are some), or you come across a link to any of the individuals shown in any of my data bases, especially if you have any informaton on my dead ends, please take time to email me at [email protected].
Your help will be appreciated, and REMEMBER - this data is the work of a number of researchers and has not all been fully verified, so QUESTION AND VERIFY EVERYTHING.

PRIMARY FAMILIES:
ROSAMOND AND RELATED FAMILIES
GUEST BOOK
ROSAMOND (1,2,3)
I have three separate pages for Rosamond families we believe are descended from a Sergeant Rosamond, a Huguenot who left France in 1685 at the Revocation of the Edict of Nantes, and fought in the Battle of the Boyne in Ireland in 1689. We have not yet been able to definitively tie these three families together, but each family was independently aware of the story of Sergeant Rosamond and claimed him as an ancestor. We are hoping that as research continues we will find records showing us the relationship between our families. The first page, ROSAMOND (1), is my family.
This is by far the largest data base, and contains the information on my ancestry. The charts contain over 3,000 individuals and the primary surnames of interest to me:ROSAMOND, GRAHAM/GRIMES/GRYMES, ARLEDGE/ALDRICH/ALDRIDGE, BURCH, DENTON, HOLLIS, HODGES, KING, KNIGHTON, LUNSFORD, PICKETT, PORRECA, ROGERS, RUSSELL and WILSON.
LYNCH:
SPECIAL NOTE: In this family tree I have included a branch for members of "my other family", meaning the family of my step-mother Ruby Mae Lynch Rosamond pictured at the left. My birth mother, Annie Laurie Graham, died when I was only two months old.My dad, Ennis Herman Rosamond, Sr., married Ruby Lynch when I was four. Ruby was my step-mother, but she raised me from the time I was five years old until I was grown and left home. Until her death, she was my mother in every way except blood. Growing up, her family was as much my family as were the Rosamonds and the Grahams. I am still in touch with my cousins from Ruby's family and the LYNCH line is included on their behalf. The second page, ROSAMND (2), is the family is the family of Mary Jane Loya of California.
I have included the information I have on her family in the form of a privatized GEDCOM file. Mary Jane's mother was born in County Leitrim, Ireland, the last known location of the Sergeant Rosamond mentioned above. Mary Jane supplied me with the Coat of Arms shown on my home page. A copy has been in her family for years and is in the possession of her cousin Jane in England. The third page, ROSAMOND (3), is for the family of Bob Rosamond of Nottingham, England.
Bob was first contacted by cousin Barbara Morgan, and later by me. Bob has given me some data and a write up of the early family history from his perspective which is posted on his page. Bob's father at one time did significant research on the family, and it is through Bob we have what we believe is the name of the Sergeant's wife, Ann D'Orr.ROSAMOND (4) ROSAMOND (4) is devoted to descendants of Jacob Rosamond.
At this point we know of no tie between the descendants of Jacob Rosamond and the three families shown above. If there is one, it is far back somewhere in Europe. I have included it as a help to those Rosamonds who are not descended from my direct line. The information was supplied to me by my cousin Barbara Morgan, with some of the information taken from the work of William Sam Rosamond in 1925.
