The original Norman parish church was swept away in the great flood of the River Wye in 1735.
The present church was built in 1740 on higher ground using many of the stones from the old church.
The interior is paved with gravestones from the old church but unfortunately they are placed with the inscriptions downwards.
The church registers contain baptisms, marriages and burials of the Hancorn family from 1664 - 1854.
