A splendid concert was given at the Haywood Studios in the Columbus Trust Co. building last night by two pupils of Mr. Haywood - Mr. Emil Asker, a tenor of NYC and Miss Elma Hancon, a soprano of Cornwall. The concert was listened to by a numerous audience and very greatly enjoyed. Two numbers from Handel's oratorio Jephtha were among those most highly appreciated. Mr. Asker sang Deeper and Deeper Still and Miss Hancon Farewell Ye Limper Streams and Floods. As a closing duet, the two singers gave the song Edenland by Dana. Their voices blended beautifully and the duet was one of the prettiest heard here.
