My tie with the Rothfeldt Family begins with my 2nd Great Grandfather, Oscar A. Rothfeldt, who was born 17 August 1850 in Sweden. I do not know his parents names nor if he had any siblings. What I do know, from a newspaper article about his death, is that he came to the United States at around the age of 13: The Tennessean (Nashville, Tennessee) June 17, 1927 - page 16; Also, according to his Naturalization Record [Davidson County, Tennessee]; "ROTHFELDT, Oscar [Naturalized] born is Sweden in the year 18 __; immigrated to the United States ---; has resided here more that 5 years; made his Declaration of Intention Sept. Term 1877, Circuit Court of Davidson County. Admitted to citizenship 16 Sept. 1879."}. Oscar Rothfeldt died on 16 June 1927 in Nashville, Davidson Co., Tennessee. Oscar Rothfeldt married Lena Amelia Eckhardt on 8 October 1874 in Davidson County, Tennessee. Lena (Amelia on her birth record) was born 28 September 1856 in New Orleans, Orleans Parish, Louisiana. She is the daughter of Theodore Eckhardt, a native of Prussia, and Mary Grem, a native a Bavaria. Lena Amelia Rothfeldt died on 2 October 1944 in Nashville, Davidson Co., Tennessee. Oscar and Lena had 8 children; 1. Nettie Rothfeldt m: Ned Eaton I know that Clyde and Vera had 2 children, and that Clyde and Elizabeth had no children. I wonder if Clyde and either of his other 2 wives had children?? Does anyone know??
