This web site is dedicated to the marriage of Robert Ernest Rowe of Tennessee and Rosa Lee Thomas of Mississippi, as well as their ancestors and descendants. Robert Ernest Rowe Sr. was born 11 Sep 1876 in Cuba, Shelby, Tennessee. He was the son of Thomas Granville Rowe and Camilla. At present his mother's maiden name is in question. Some sources say Douglas and others say Marcum. "Ernie" had several occupations as he raised his 11 children, including farming, storekeeping and accounting. Rosa Lee Thomas was born 22 Feb 1880 in Hernando, DeSoto, Mississippi. She was the daughter of John Thomas and Amanda Laughter. Robert Ernest and Rosa Lee were married 5 Jun 1901 in Shelby County, TN. They lived in northern Mississippi until around 1910 when they moved to Fountain, El Paso, CO. They lived there for a few years before moving to Denver, where they lived the rest of their lives. Both died and are buried in the area.
