My aim in building thie website is simply to share the information I have gathered on our anscestors - and hopefull to make contact with others who are on the same quest.

First: Most of the information on this website has been researched by me.
Where other researchers have given me information about their family lines I have tried to verify this myself. But that is not always possible, and transcripts can be wrong, and I can make incorrect assumptions or simply make mistakes!
So if you have any queries,  amendments, additions or connections - please contact me.

Second: This family history is divided into 16 family groups or ancestral lines: one for each of our great-grand parents' surnames.

Third: Where do you start?
If you recognise any of the family names below then just click on that name to take you to the first page for that family. (If there isn't a link - I haven't written the pages yet!)

Fourth: There is a site map or contents page with more details of the names I am researching and links to the relevant family page.

Fifth: No individual is named more recently than our grandparents.

Sixth: Thank you to other researchers and distant "cousins" who have been so generous with their time and knowledge. Thank you all.

Seventh: If anyone finds a link with their own family on these pages, I'd be very pleased to hear from you. And if I've got anything wrong, which is more than likely I would really like you to contact me.

And Lastly: If you know anything more about any of these families - please - please contact me.

I would be delighted to hear from you with any comments, further information, photographs, family trees, queries, background details, or simply just because we have a common interest in family history.

I am also happy to provide full details of sources upon request.

This is a new website. The previous one, built some years ago, became too time consuming and difficult to maintain. I re-designed it, but was dissatisfied with that style and colouring, so this is my third edition! If you have any links to my previous efforts, I apologise if they no longer work. Please contact me if you want to re-visit them and you cannot find them.

Good luck and happy hunting!

Rosemary
