PROBERT is a Welsh name, from "Ap Robert" - the son of Robert, or "Robertson" in English. Therefore we have always assumed that the origins of our family would eventually be found in Wales. We've traced them back from Yorkshire via Derbyshire and Staffordshire to Oswestry in Shropshire - just on the Welsh borders - but not into Wales - yet!
