Gem Cemetery is no longer being cared for. A few of the
stones have been knocked down or are falling into the grave
site. Directions: Take I-44 to Co. Rd. 100 exit. Take this
road South to Buck Rd. Turn West on Buck Rd. and Gem is on the
North side of the road about ½ mile. Greg Bottom & I
canvassed this cemetery January 13, 2002.
Just inside the gate is three mortuary markers that are no
longer readable, however Colleen Belk lists them in her books,
she also has some burials that I did not find and other
information about the people buried here.
