Burial - Medoc cemetery
Source of information: Obituary from Carl Junction Plaindealer, June 2, 1911
(Mary E and Wm Coleman Shepeard are my husband's great grandparents)
Della May Harry (grand daughter of Wm C and Mary E Shepard, daughter to David and Margaret Harry - row 1)
1893 - 1897
Source of information: a grandson of David and Margaret Harry says there used to be a flat stone for Della just to the south of the stone for Wm C Shepeard. Also, Della is listed in the Colleen Belk book in the Medoc cemetery section.
4) Just to the north of the stones for Dora Scott and for James Scott (row 5), there is a broken, homemade stone that is very difficult to read. Because we suspected who it was we were able to make it out. Then the last time we were there the light was angled just right and it was very clear, I got a very clear photograph. Also, with permission of a member of the cemetery board, we placed a marker behind the stone with her name and dates. (Rachel is also listed in the Colleen Belk listing).
The stone reads: Mother
Rachel Scott wife of
Jas Scott

STELLA MARIE 'SCOTT' DU CHARME
I am the daughter of Cecile and Hearl Scott.
There is an error in the date of the birth of my father..Harley Hearl was born Aug. 19, 1903.
He was 67 years at death...1 Year older than my mother.
Buried between my grandparents - Estella Williams Swanson & Edgar Swanson in the same row
are the ashes of their son, Merlin Edgar Swansonand his wife, Betty Swanson. He was buried
July, 2004....Family were present. Also in that same row next to my parents, H. H. & Cecile M.
Scott is my baby daughter, Barbara De Anne Craig, born April 25, 1953. The marker has
disappeared. Seems like when the mowers hit markers and stones, they take them to the fenceline
and pitch them over.
My father Harley Hearl Scott was the son of Elbert and Daisy Mae Scott, who are buried in the
1st Row.
