Daughter of Alpheus and Matilda [Whitney] Stanclift born PA 1843 or 1844. She is also called Marilda and after marriage Charlotte. Her family all seemed to change names from record to record. She married WILLIAM CHRISTY born PA 1824. They lived with her parents in 1870(1) and both William and her father, Alpheus, were farmers.
On Feb. 1, 1871 William Christy purchased from Charlotte's mother, Matilda [Whitney] Stanclift, the parcel of land in Beaver Township, Crawford County that Matilda had purchased from, or advanced mortgage money to, her son, Samuel Martin Stanclift in 1862(2), both Matilda and Alpheus signed the deed.
