Daughter of Sherman and Dellcy [Earle] Stancliffe born NY March 2, 1842, died 1925, buried Methodist Episcopal Cemetery, Chasm Falls, Franklin County, NY, married Sept. 16, 1862 JAMES EDDY son of Archibald and Susannah Eddy of Hemmingford, Quebec, Canada. James was born in Canada Feb. 1836 but both of his parents had been born in NY.(1)
James Eddy served during the Civil War in Company H of the 142nd Regiment New York Volunteers. They moved to Chasm Falls, Franklin County, NY about 1867.

1. THOMAS EDDY born Brushton, NY May 9, 1866, died Chasm Falls, Franklin County, NY Oct. 5, 1953(2), married Nov. 29, 1888 WINNIE SMITH, daughter of Gardner and Melissa [Davis] Smith born Bellmont, Franklin County, NY, died Chasm Falls, Franklin County, NY Jun. 4, 1957. They had a daughter Elsie who married Harry Chapman. Thomas died at the home of his daughter, Mrs Harry Chapman.(3)
2. ELMER EDDY born Jun. 1867, died West Point, GA, married 1893 MARTHA LEONARD perhaps known as "Bertha".
3. DELLCIE M. EDDY born Brushton, NY Aug. 10, 1870, died Bangor, NY Feb. 25, 1955, married 1912 her cousin, HENRY CHILDS son of Caleb Henry and Mary E. [Stancliffe] Childs, who died 1930. No Children.
4. GEORGE J. EDDY born Jul. 1871, died 1936, buried Chasm Falls Methodist Episcopal Cemetery.
5. RUFUS G. EDDY born Brushton, Ny, Apr. 1, 1875, died 1939, buried Chasm Falls, Franklin County, NY. Never married.
