[Newell] Stancliff born Portland, Middlesex County, CT Jan. 24, 1855, baptized Feb. 5, 1865, died Glastonbury, CT Oct.24, 1937, married JOHN HOWARD HALE son of John Augustus and Henrietta S. [Moseley] Hale born Glastonbury, Hartford County, CT Nov. 25, 1853, died Glastonbury, CT Oct. 12, 1917.
John H. Hale and his brother George owned and operated a fruit business. They established orchard property in South Glastonbury, Hartford County, CT, and Seymour, New Haven County, CT. They also owned a peach orchard in Fort Valley, Peach County, GA that at one time was the largest orchard of its kind in the world. John Howard Hale was Administrator on his father-in-law's Estate.

2. MOSELEY HALE born Glastonbury, Hartford County, CT Mar. 22, 1882, and was living 1917 at Groton, Middlesex County, MA and in 1937 at Melbourne, Brevard County, FL.
3. EMILY MOSELEY HALE born Glastonbury, Hartford County, CT Apr. 12, 1884, married South Glastonbury, Hartford County, CT Jun. 5, 1909 REV. FRANCIS BARNETT son of Francis Walter and Mary Frances [Blakman] Barnett born Canaan, Litchfield County, CT about 1883. They lived in 1917 at Ridley Park, Delaware County, PA and in 1937 at Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, PA.
4. NEWELL HALE born Glastonbury, Hartford County, CT Aug. 4, 1886, died Feb. 29, 1888, buried at the Old Church Cemetery, Glastonbury, Hartford County, CT(2).
5. HOWARD HALE born Glastonbury, Hartford County, CT Aug. 8, 1888, stillborn.
6. MARION LOUISE HALE born Glastonbury, Hartford County, CT Aug. 22, 1898, married Glastonbury, CT Jun. 16, 1914 EDWARD PHILLIPS BOTTOMLEY son of Edward and Clara E. [Phillips] Bottomley born Providence, Providence County, RI about 1886. They lived in 1917 at Pittsfield, Somerset County, ME and in 1837 at La Porte, La Porte County, IN.
