FREDERICK ALVIN INGRAM FAMILY

Daughter of Perry and Martha Caroline [Davis] Stancliff born Wyoming, Essex Twp, Stark County IL Aug. 12, 1867, died Caldwell, Essex County, NJ Oct. 14, 1958, buried Caldwell, NJ, married Wyoming, IL Oct. 22, 1891 FREDERICK ALVIN INGRAM son of Henry and Jane [Wrigley] Ingram(1) born Dec. 12, 1868, died Wyoming, Stark County, IL Feb. 1900, buried Wyoming Cemetery. He has a stone shared with his daughter Hazel.

Their marriage was performed by Rev. William H. Jordan. Witnesses were the brides brother, James A. Stancliff, and his wife, Esther [Standeven] Stancliff. The wedding took place at 7:30 in the evening at the home of the bride with about eighty guests in attendance, and a banquet followed the ceremony(2).

Emma Ingram lived Caldwell, Essex County, NJ and must have moved to that area after the death of her husband. She and Frederick lived Wyoming, IL at time of her parents 50th Anniversary Celebration in 1897. They lived next door to Frederick's brother Jesse(3). Vera [Ingram] Jacquin remembers the family also lived in Kewanee, Henry County, IL and that for a time her grandmother, Martha Caroline [Davis] Stancliff, lived with them.

Emma was very interested in her heritage and corresponded with many people on the Stancliff genealogy.

CHILDREN: Frederick Alvin and Emma Eliza [Stancliff] Ingram

1. NELLIE VERA INGRAM "Vera" was originally named Nellie Viola Ingram but her mother did not want her called "Vi" and so at age two changed her name, she was born Wyoming, Essex Twp, Stark County IL Sept. 19, 1893, died Whippany, Morris County, NY Mar. 30, 1992, married East Orange, Essex County, NJ Dec. 1, 1916 GEORGE IRVING JACQUIN a Dentist born Aug. 8, 1891, died Montclair, Essex County, NJ Nov. 12, 1953. Vera lived with Stephen Miles and Hannah Mae [Standeven] Stancliff in Philadelphia while she attended Temple University. It was at this time that she met her future husband, who was attending Dental School.  Vera contributed to this genealogy with information on her family and memories of her grandparents and life in Wyoming, IL.

2. HAZEL STANCLIFF INGRAM born Wyoming, Essex Twp, Stark County IL Apr. 8, 1898, died Boulder, Boulder County, CO Feb. 27, 1922, buried Wyoming Cemetery, Wyoming, Stark County, IL and shares the Gravestone with her father.
