(74) MARY4 STANCLIFT (Comfort3, James2, James1)

Daughter of Comfort and Eunice [Ranney] Fox Stanclift born Sept. 22, 1771(1) while the family was living in Torrington, Litchfield County, CT, died Summit Township, Erie County, PA Oct. 4, 1856(2) married at Whitestown, Oneida County, NY by the Rev. Dan Bradley on Oct. 4, 1792(3) GILES PETER5 MIX (Isaac4, Daniel3, Daniel2, Thomas1)(4) son of Isaac and Demaris [Olmstead] Mix born West Hartford, CT 1771 died York Mills, NY in 1832(5).

Mary and Giles Mix were in Sangerfield, NY in 1796 in company with Samuel Stanclift, Comfort Stanclift, and Solomon Williams appeared in the 1796 Rate assessment(6) for Sangerfield(7). They remained at least until 1800 and appeared in Chenango County, NY 1800 Census(8) still in town of Sangerfield and this date Comfort Stanclift has left but Daniel Grover has joined the group. They also lived for many years in the town of York Mills, near Utica, NY.

Giles, Mary and Polly Mix were members of the First Presbyterian Church of Whitesboro in the Town of Whitestown, Oneida County, NY(9). All three had been received by certificate on April 30, 1819 from "the Presbyterian Church in Holland Patent" and were dismissed on March 18, 1830.(10), Harriet was examined and admitted to the congregation on June 19, 1821(11). Giles, Mary, Polly and Harriet were dismissed in 1830 along with 41 other members of the church "for the purpose of uniting with the church to be organized at New York Mills, by a committee from the Presbytery".

After the death of Giles Mix, Mary and three of her children moved to Erie County, PA in 1839(12). Mary was with the family of her daughter Polly/Mary [Mix] Randall in Greene Township, Erie County, PA in 1850.

1. IRA MIX born Sangerfield, NY Aug. 4, 1794 or 1795, died Auburn, IA Nov. 12, 1870, married ANN KELSEY and had daughter Sarah Ann Mix born Trenton, NY Mar. 28, 1823, died Detroit, MI Oct.3, 1903, married Sanford Pool Olney born Antwerp, NY June 8, 1823 died Potosi, Washington County, MO Mar. 5, 1890.

2. DEMARIS MIX born Aug. 1, 1795

3. MARY MIX "Polly" born July 31, 1797, married CYREL/SYREL or CYRUS RANDALL born 1796 in Ireland. Along with her parents, Polly was admitted by certificate, into membership of the First Presbyterian Church of Whitesboro on July 1, 1819(13), she was listed in these same records when the family was dismissed on Mar 18, 1830 along with many others to form a new church at York Mills. Polly and Cyrel Randall lived 1850 Greene Township, Erie County, PA(14). Her mother, Mary [Stanclift] Mix, living with family. Cyrel had previously been married to a woman named Miranda as shown in a Lawrence County, NY Deed dated Dec. 29, 1826 signed by Syrel Randall and then wife Miranda.(15)

4. SOPHIA MIX born Mar. 6, 1799.

5. HIRAM MIX born Apr. 22, 1801, married SALLY STANCLIFT daughter of Lemuel and Mehitable [Goff] Stanclift of McKean, PA. They left McKean and moved to Michigan, Sally died in Michigan.

6. GILES MIX born Jan. 19, 1807, lived Herkimer County, NY.

7. DEMARIS MIX II born July 19, 1807, probably born Jan. making her twin to Giles. Married JAMES ERWIN PRUEN born 1811

8. HARRIET MIX {twin} born NY 1808, died after about 1885 when she appeared in a family reunion Photo taken at David Stanclift's home. Harriet was admitted into membership of the First Presbyterian Church of Whitesboro on June 19, 1821(16). The family belonged to this church until Mar. 18, 1830, when along with others they were dismissed to form a new church at York Mills. After her father's death she moved with her mother, sister Polly [Mix] Randall and brother Hiram Mix to Erie County, PA. She was in the household of Seth Stanclift, son of Lemuel in 1860(17).

9. BENJAMIN MIX {twin} born NY 1808, married a "girl named BAKOM"(18), possibly Balcom. Benjamin was in St Lawrence County, NY 1850 Census. David Stanclift of McKean, PA said he lived "Niagara County, near Lockport, NY" at a later date.

10. LOUISA MIX born Apr. 20, 1813, died McKean, PA July 18, 1848, married Apr. 6, 1847 MARTIN PINNEY son of Elisha and Racheal [Belden] Pinney born Aug. 12, 1815. They had an infant who died at birth and Louisa possibly died in childbirth. Martin married again to Adeline Stanclift daughter of Timothy and Lucy [Hough] Stanclift.
