(294) SARAH6 MARIAH STANCLIFT (Ansel5, Comfort4, Comfort3, James2, James1)
Daughter of Ansel and Caroline Matilda [Stewart] Stanclift born Feb. 19, 1827, married May 7, 1864 CHAUNCEY C. MONTONYE "Cass" born Aug. 19, 1828. "Cass" Montonye owned a half interest in a shingle factory not far from the farm of Ezra Stanclift in Lakeridge, Lenawee County, MI. The other half was owned by Ralph Bacon, the brother of Ezra Stanclift's wife, Minerva [Bacon] Stanclift.
CHILDREN: Chauncey and Sarah M. [Stanclift] Montonye
1. ELIZA JENNIE MONTONYE born July 5, 1864, married at Holton Nov. 11, 1883 FRANK M. BENNAWY born Sept. 6, 1864 and had children; Vera Virginia Bennawy born Mar. 15 1885, married Sept. 23, 1903 Jesse Anderson; Rex B. Bennawy born May 6, 1892; Clayton D. Bennawy born Nov. 8, 1893. Clayton was in possession of the "Bennawy Bible Records"(1) that provided information on this family; Caroline Bennawy "Carry" born Jan. 19, 1868, died Mar. 14, 1920, married 1.Apr. 20, 1886 J. Bernard Rooney, married 2. ______ Wheeler; and Miles Montonye Bennawy born Nov. 19, 1869, died Jan. 23, 1872.
