ABEL STRADER
Born WV 1830, married 1. TABITHA WARD, Abel was listed 1880 as a widower(1), married 2. after 1885(2) FANNY McMAMES.
In the 1875 Kansas State Census(3) Abel was living at Irving, Marshall County, KS and he did not have a wife and may have been widowed by that date. This census indicates that all members of the family came to Kansas from Illinois. Living next door was a Daniel Ward born 1824 in NJ(4) and previous resident of OH. In the 1880 Census Abel and four children, listed by initials only, were living next to Aquilla and Ida [Stancliff] Strader in Blue Rapids Township, Marshall County, KS.

1. SIMEON B. STRADER born WV 1857 and appears with father and family in 1875 Kansas State Census.
1. AQUILLA WORTH STRADER born Spencer, Roane County, now in WV, then in VA April 20, 1852, died Los Angeles, Los Angeles County, CA May 17, 1915, married by Moses Spencer at Timber Creek Township, Riley County, KS Feb. 19, 1873(5) IDA ADELLA STANCLIFF daughter of Chester Haven and Sarah Eliza [Gore] Stanclift. One of their sons ALFRED ALPHONSO STRADER, married two of the daughters of Zillah Strader and LeRoy Fitserland Stanclift, Lillian Virginia Stancliff and Carrie Edith Stancliff.
2. ZILLAH STRADER born Spencer, Roane County, now in WV, then in VA July 17, 1854, married Jan. 1, 1874 LEROY FITSERLAND STANCLIFT son of Ebenezer Edward and Polly Sabry [Gore] Stanclift and first cousin of Ida Stanclift who married Zillah's brother.

4. MARY F. STRADER born WV 1864
5. JAMES W. STRADER born WV 1866
6. JENNIE R. STRADER born WV 1869 and listed 1875 as "Jennie R..", 1880 as "WM", and 1885 as "V.R.".
