ABRAHAM THOMPSON FAMILY

Daughter of Martin and Olive [Stanclift] Stanclift born while her family was still living Jefferson County, NY Nov. 12, 1804, married ABRAHAM THOMPSON born VT Sept. 27, 1785 or 1795(1), died before 1870.
The census records indicate that this family lived within the group of Stanclift families of Lemuel and Martin Stanclift. They all lived in an area of McKean Township, Erie County, PA. In 1830 they had a female under five in the family(2). She was still present in 1840 along with four siblings listed below(3). By 1850 the oldest girl born between 1825 and 1830 was no longer with the family and possibly married at that date(4). In the 1870 Census Clarissa was living in the household of her son Lewis(5).

4. LEWIS THOMPSON born McKean, Erie County, PA April 1837, married 1860(6) LOUISA M. ____ born PA Nov. 1841. In 1870 Census Clarissa [Stanclift] Thompson was living in his household. In the 1900 Census(7) Rachel Handy age 87, born NY Oct 1813, she is a single woman and termed "Aunt". Louisa's mother may have been a Handy.
