Daughter of James and Martha [Wood] Stanclift born East Middletown, Hartford County, CT Sept. 8, 1738(1), baptized East Middletown Sept. 10, 1738(2), married in East Haddam, CT Sept. 15, 1763 FITZ JOHN WHITMORE(3) of East Haddam, son of William and Rebeckah Whitmore, born Middletown, Hartford County, CT Jan. 18, 1718/19(4).
They moved to Westfield, Hampden County, MA and had a large family(5).

2. MARTHA WHITMORE born Mar. 22, 1766.
3. OLIVER WHITMORE born May 14, 1770.

6. PHEBE WHITMORE born Oct. 10, 1778.
7. JOHN WHITMORE born July 3, 1781.

.Ernest Caufield, noted gravestone researcher, studied the Stanclift stone carvers. He quoted the EBENEZER WHITE DIARY, and said this couple had at least 7 children, and lived in Westfield, MA. The records of this family are not found in Westfield, MA Town Hall, and the White diary was not located at either the Connecticut State Library or the Connecticut Historical Society.6.
