Daughter of Ebenezer Edward and Polly Sabry [Gore] Stancliff born near Charleston, Lee County, IA Apr. 7, 1844, died Phoenix, Jackson County, OR Dec 4, 1922, married Springside, Pottawatomie County, KS by Rev. G. S. Dearborn June 11, 1871 JOB THURSTON WILDER(1) son of Ebenezer and Dorcas [Horton] Wilder born Warren County, NY Sept. 30, 1843, died Phoenix, Jackson County, OR Mar. 14, 1932, buried Phoenix Cemetery, Phoenix, OR.

Elvira and Job Wilder were married in a double wedding ceremony with Elvira's sister, Mary Amanda, and Lemuel Albert Ward.

Job Wilder entered service in New York during the Civil War. He served in Company G, 78th Regular NY Volunteers and in Company G, 102 Veteran Volunteers, being discharged as a corporal on 21 Jul 1865.

He came to Riley County, KS in 1871(2). In 1875 the couple lived with Elvira's parents in Shannon Township, Pottawatomie County, KS(3). The letters written by Elvira's uncle, Ebenezer Emory Gore, indicate that Elvira's address in 1877 was Spring Creek, KS, which is a Township in Pottawatomie County. Before 1880 they moved and in Jun. 1880 they were living in Harvey Township, Smith County, KS near Sanford Luther Stancliff(4), and also near to Job's brother Nahum Wilder. Job was employed on Jun. 20, 1887 by Leary Ward and Co. in Los Angeles, CA.(5) By 1900 they lived Phoenix Precinct, Jackson County, OR, and Elvira's widowed father, Eben Edward Stancliffe, was living in their household(6). They were still there in 1910 and lived next to Elvira's brother Perry Willard Stancliff(7).

CHILDREN: Job and Elvira [Stancliff] Wilder

1. EDWARD EBEN WILDER born in a sod house in Riley County, KS Sept. 8, 1872, died Phoenix, Jackson County, OR 23 Aug 1943, married 1. Los Angeles, Los Angeles County, CA 1895 LORETTA DELLA MARTIN(8). They had children Viola Wilder and Ervin Wilder. He married 2. Nov. 17, 1902 MARIE FLEEK. They had children Ona Wilder, Vane Wilder, and Eunice Wilder.

2. EDITH MAY WILDER born Pottawatomie County, KS Nov. 27, 1874, died Los Angeles, Los Angeles County, CA May 8, 1888

3. WILLIAM WALTER THURSTON WILDER born Smith County, KS Jul. 30, 1883, died Eugene, Lane County, OR May 11, 1962(9), married Phoenix, Jackson County, OR July 12, 1908 LOLA FRANCES PARKERSON. They had children William Wilder Jr., Lois Wilder, Harold Wilder, and Robert Wilder.
