Daughter of Gilbert Lewis and Elizabeth Perkins [Southmayd] Stancliff born Portland, Middlesex County, CT Oct. 12, 1856, died Hartford, Hartford County, CT Jun. 15, 1945, married Portland, Middlesex County, CT May 11, 1881 FRANK O. WOOD of Meridan, New Haven County, CT. He was born Worcester, MA Apr. 14, 1851, died in Manhattan, NYC May 25, 1902.
Emily's parents were visiting and enumerated in their household in the 1900 Census Records(1).

1. ARTHUR S. WOOD born Meridan, New Haven, CT Oct. 29, 1889, died Manchester, Hartford County, CT Jun. 29, 1982, married Coventry, Tolland County, CT Sept. 18, 1912 FLORENCE E. HAWKINS daughter of William B. and Katie [Goodsell] Hawkins born Westport, Fairfield County, CT Nov. 27, 1891, died Hartford, Hartford County, CT Aug. 29, 1979. Arthur lived 1980 in South Glastonbury, Hartford County, CT. They had a son, Stancliff H. Wood, who was born Feb. 13, 1914, died Mar. 13, 1993, married Jul. 25, 1952 Gertrude Stienburg who died Glastonbury, CT Jan. 7, 1993.
