MRS. CHRSITINA FOSTER

Chirstina Alice MacKay, daughter of Hugh and Theresa Vanderwater MacKay, was born May 12, 1863, in Delta, Ontario, Canada.

In 1888 she came to Illinois where she taught school for several years, in Kankakee County, and also in Roberts, Illinois

September, 1904, she was married in Chicago to Bela Foster of Roberts. Mr. Foster died Jan. 1939, and in Sept. 1942 she went to Toronto where she lived with her sisters until her death July 24, 1945.

She leaves two sisters, Mrs. W. L. Haight and Miss Rosalind MacKay, of Toronto; 2 nieces, Mrs. Swanson and Mrs. Carl Thomas of Chicago; one nephew, Edwin MacKay in service.

funeral services were held in the Congregational Churh at Roberts at 2:30 Thursday afternoon. Rev. Akin, her former pastor officiating.

during the service Mrs. Geo. Bertram and Mrs. Muryl sturm accompanied by Miss Juanita Allen, sang "In the Garden" and "The city Four Square."

Pallbearerswere Ceci Kennedy, John Wright, vernon Woodruff, Fred Barber, Louis Yackee, JOhn Kristopherson.

Flowers were carried by Miss Jeanne Anderson, Mrs. Venon Woodruff, Mrs. David Woolsoncroft, Mrs. John Krisopherson.

Those from a distance who attended the funeral were: Miss Rosalind MacKay, of Toronto; Mrs. Charles Lake, of Kankakee; Mrs. Dwayne Lake, of Chebanse; Dr. and Mrs. F. M. Blome, of Kenney; dr. and Mrs. R.E. Squires, of Piper City; Mrs. Raymond Davis, of Chicago; Harry Kenward, of Detroit, Mich.; Mrs. george Wallis and Mr. andMrs. Russell Frazee of Thawville; Mr. and Mrs. Willard Kenward, of Melvin; Misses Jeanne, Marion, and Flora Anderston, Paxton.
