Comments: So many ships. So much water.
So many people. So few Clues So little time.
Ahhhh yes, they came, they lived, they multiplied, they died and they
told so little.
Thus we have so few clues in which to go by. Relentlessly we march on
attempting
to find our "roots". Shall we all not pass these problems on to our
children.
Document what we know fully of the present before we search the
past.
The past is'nt going to change, nor is it going to leave.

I am searching for ships from Bremen,
Germany to New York in 1900.
My grandmother, Hedwig Volosin (also spelled Walason) said
that she arrived on December 20, 1900. My grandfather, George
Volosin,
arrived sometime earlier that year. They lived in Luzerne County,
PA
before moving to New York. Any info on those ships would be
appreciated.
I'll be returning to your site again soon.

Comments: Hi: I found your site
intrigueing, especially the ship carrying
Jacobite Prisoners. My relative Lawrence Marr, born 1700 in
Renfrew
Scotland, came over to the states and settled in Easton,
Pennsylvania. It is
said that he may have been the brother of the Earl of Mar,
John Francis Erskine who fought in the Jacobite War. Lawrence is
a
great mystery due to the fact that he had a family and then
disapeared. There is nothing about his wife. But he gave his son
David a pair of Silver boot buckles and knee buckles that were
according to sources too fancy for the peasantry to wear. I believe
he
fought in the Jacobite war and came to America to escape. If you
see
this name, Lawrence Marr, please Email me.

She became the quardinship of Arthur William DeBrito Saville Foljambe. Her name was supposedly Samoria Gloria Rucy de Wright. We have done extensive search on this name and came up with nothing. I'm not sure what the connection between her family and Foljambes is. I know she went to India with Foljambes when the King was there in 1911-1912? If anyone can give any information I would realy appreciate it.
