| Graduation: [P] graduated <[D]> from [L]. <[M]> Then in the Date field I put 1941 and in the Detail location I put Randolph High School. Which results in this sentence - - He graduated in 1941 from Randolph High School. |
Teresa's notes-- I added the memo to the end. | ||
| Brian created this tag for WWII service. It can easily be changed for other war service as well. | WWII: [P] <|and [PO]> served in the [M1] during World War II <[D]> < in [L]> <[M2]> Here is how I input the information Date: from 1943 to 1946. In the Detailfield: Guadalcanal and the Philippines. In the Memo: U.S. Army||. This then prints "He served in the U.S. Army during World War II from 1943 to 1946 in Guadalcanal and the Philippines. I left M2 in case I have special service or medals to input. For example if he earned a purple heart. I would put in the Memo field: U.S. Army||During his service he was awarded a Purple Heart. On second thought, the sentence could be: [P] <|and [PO]> served in the [M1] during World War II <[D]> < in [L]> <During his service he was awarded a [M2]>, Then the memo would
just be U.S. Army||Purple Heart. |

| [:CR:][:TAB:] During the [M1], <[R:enlisted] signed up with the [M2]> <[D]> <[L]>. <[M3]> | Teresa's notes-- This is mine. I use it for all wars. M1 is the war-like Civil War. M2 is the unit- like 1st Tennessee and M3 is notes about the event. | ||
| Teresa's notes: I use this one for when a person shows up on a muster roll. I put information like they were sick, or paid, or AWOL in the memo. | [:CR:][:TAB:][R:enlisted person] was listed in a muster roll <[D]> < [L]>. <[M]> | ||
| [:CR:][:TAB:][R:the discharged] was released from active military duty <[D]> <[L]>. <[M]> | Teresa's notes: I use this tag for when someone was discharged from the army. I put the kind of discharge-like honorable discharge in the memo field. | ||
| Teresa's
notes: I use these for when a person has a military pension
denied. You will need the roles: Denied, widow and affidavit.
Denied is the soldier. Widow is the spouse. Affidavit is the person who testified for the person to get their pension. M1 is the person or organization that denied the pension. M2 is for extra information, or a transcription of the denial letter. |
[:CR:][:TAB:][R:Denied]'s pension was denied <by [M1]> <[D]> <[L]>.
<[R:widow] was mentioned as a spouse in the pension application.> <[M2]>
[:CR:][:TAB:][R:widow]'s spouse, [R:Denied], applied for a military pension and it was denied <by [M1]> <[D]> <[L]>. <[M2]> [:CR:][:TAB:][R:affidavit] signed the military pension of [R:Denied] <[D]> <[L]>. The pension was denied. <[M2]> |
||
| [:CR:][:TAB:][R:enlisted person] retired from the military <[D]> <[L]>. <[M]> | Teresa's Notes: I use this tag for military retirements. Yes, I have had a few. <G> | ||
