	I use these tags for military pensions for Revolutionary war service. Each act allowed for a different amount of service to qualify. The pension file will usually state which act of congress the person is trying to fulfill. I am still adding on to these as I do more research.	Created by Teresa Ghee Elliott
	Pension Application: [:CR:][:TAB:][R:Pensioner] filled out a pension application <[D]> <[L]>. <[M]>	I use this tag for the pension application form. In the memo, I put in information found in the application.
	For individuals who had served at least 9 months and who were veterans of the continental establishment, or in the Navy.	Pension1818 [:CR:][:TAB:]The earliest pension act was approved by Congress on March 18, 1818 and applied to veterans of the continental establishment and the naval service who had served a minimum of 9 months. [R:Applicant] qualified and applied for his pension under this act <[D]> < [L]>. <[M]>
	[R:Applicant] applied <[D]> <[ L]> for his pension under an act of Congress approved May 1, 1820 for pensioners. This act provided that the pensioners submit property schedules proving that they were needy. <[M]>	Pension1820 Pensioners had to prove he was needy to qualify.
	Pension1832 This was the easiest act to qualify under.	[:CR:][:TAB:][R:Applicant] applied for his pension <[D]> <[L]> under the most liberal pension act, approved June 7, 1832. This act provided that veteran who had 6 months service, irrespective of the type of service and irrespective of need, were entitled to apply for pensions. <[M]>
	Applicant's sentnece [:CR:][:TAB:]Because of a pension act approved by Congress on July 4, 1836, widows of veterans with the requisite minimum service were entitled to pensions provided that they had married the veterans before the expiration of the last period of the veteran's service. [R:Applicant] applied for [R:Deceased]'s pension <[D]> < [L]>.<[M]> Deceased sentence [:CR:][:TAB:][R:Deceased] has died and [R:Applicant] has applied for his pension under the pension act approved July 4, 1836. This act provided that widows of veterans with the requisite minimum service were entitled to pensions provided that they had married the veterans before the expiration of the last period of the veteran's service. <[M]> Affidavit Sentence [:CR:][:TAB:][R:Affidavit] testified that [R:Applicant] was a widow of [R:Deceased] and that she was entitled to a pension under the pension act approved July 4, 1836, which provided that widows of veterans with the requisite minimum service were entitled to pensions provided that they had married the veterans before the expiration of the last period of the veteran's service. <[M]>	Pension1836 This allowed widows to apply under their deceased husband's war service.
	Pension1853 This act allowed any widow to apply for her husband's military pension.	[:CR:][:TAB:][R:Applicant] applied for [R:Deceased]'s pension <[D]> < [L]>. She was able to do this because of a pension act approved February 3, 1853, that allowed pensions to widows irrespective of the dates of marriage. <[M]> [:CR:][:TAB:][Deceased] has died and [R:Applicant] has applied for his pension under the pension act approved February 3, 1853, that allowed pensions to widows irrespective of the dates of marriage. <[M]>
	Pensioner Sentence [:CR:][:TAB:][R:Pensioner] or someone acting on his behalf was paid his military pension <[D]> <[L]>. <[M]>	I use this tag when the pension was paid out.
