TMG Field Limitations

For the most part, TMG does not limit you to the number of People, citations, images, etc. that you can use in a given Project, but some fields are limited in the amount of characters they are limited to. This chart will hopefully help new users (and old users too) to keep up with which field limit you to a certain number of characters. If a field is not listed, it either has no limitation, or users haven't found a limit yet. <G>

Suffixes to Relationship tags (Person View)	3 More than three and it truncates to the last three
Abbreviation (Source Definition View)	49
Abbreviation (Repository Definition View)	49
Tag Type Definition Window Label	21 (you can put in an unlimited but it truncates at 21
Tag Type Definition Window Roles	21 (same as above) Sentences will revert back to default witness sentence if you use more than 21
Style Window Place Style names and Name Style Names	21 (same as above) Sentences will use the default TMG place style instead of custom style if you use more than 21.
Source elements	21 (same as above) but the new element won't work in the source definition window even after it is truncated.
