Smyrna Quadrangle:  On Burlison Lane. 1/2 mile south of Old Nashville Highway.

Photographed by an unknown person and sent to me by Juli Risener Morgan
[David] moved to Rutherford Co TN 1782--was driven back to NC by atrocities of the Indians, but came back to TN in 1805, and remained until his death 13 Aug 1832. He is buried in Burleson Cemetery on the old home place of Mrs. Kate Burleson Talley, in Rutherford Co near Murfreesboro. A government marker placed by the Capt. William Lytle Chapter DAR marks his grave:"David Burlison, James Farris Battalion, Col. Wade's Regiment, NC. Discharged 9 Oct 1782. Died 13 Aug 1832" pg 461 "Tombstone Inscriptions" by Acklen

Also, an unproven source states "David's wife Ursula is also buried there, but without a marker."
David Franklin Burleson, Burlison Cemetery, Rutherford County, TN

David was a Soldier in the Revolution.
