WILL OF
FREDERICK WILLIAM WILLS
In the name of God, amen, I Frederick William Wills of the county of Clarke and State of Kentucky being sick and weak in body but in perfect mind and memory, therefore calling to mind the uncertainty of my body and knowing there is appointed once for
all men to die and do think proper to dispose of such worldly goods as it hath pleased God to bless me with in the following manner, to wit:
First it is my desire that all my just debts be paid out of my estate by my executor hereafter named. Second I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Frances Wills all my household furniture and stock and all my negroes (except two young negroes the one
of them to be given to my daughter Sarah when she shall arrive at the age of 20 years or marry, the other to my daughter Nancy when she shall arrive to 20 years of age or marry) during her natural life, except she shall marry, in such case then the
household furniture, stock and negroes shall be equally divided between the whole of my children or in case of her death before my youngest child comes of age, it is my desire that my executor shall help keep my wife's part of the estate together until
my youngest child shall be of age and that the estate shall then be equally divided, that is by my sons, William, John , and Richard, giving or due credit for what they have already received or that the younger children may receive by such credit being
given.
Thirdly I give and bequeath to my son Durrett Wills the tract of land I now live on after the decease of my wife Frances Wills, she having the full benefit of it during her natural life, to be possessed by him. Lastly I constitute and appoint my son
John Wills, my son-in-law, Lukus Hood and my son Richard Wills executors of this my last will and testament. Testifying and confirming this and not other, in testimony whereof I have hereunto set my and hand and seal this 20th of December 1795.
