The biannual Ryan Roots Reunion was held on August 5,
2000 at Lake Panorama, Iowa. About 75 relatives attended
from Iowa, West Virginia, Minnesota, Illinois, Indiana, Missouri, and
Pennsylvania. Although it was VERY hot and humid, everyone had fun
whether they were boating, swimming, eating, researching their
genealogy, or just plain visiting with each other.

Several door prizes were also awarded (donated by various family
members.) Souvenir cups were also provided by Linda Ryan, Robert
Ryan, Karen Janssen, and Joe Ryan. T-shirts were available to commemorate
the event (Contact Dave Ryan of Lake Panorama if you would like to
purchase one.)
Dave and Barb Ryan did a wonderful job of organizing and hosting this
year's event.
The next reunion will be held in Pella, Iowa in 2002 and will be
hosted by Karen Janssen and Teresa Caracci (they really are Ryans -
despite the Dutch and Italian names!)
