Filipow Parish Cemetery Poland Photos

Filipow Parish Cemetery

As with most churches, the Catholic parish of Filipow had a cemetery next to the church.  Filipow church records verify this.  With the age of the parish and the need for more space, Filipow parish cemetery was relocated outside of Filipow sometime around 1900.  I contacted a distant cousin from the Filipow area, as is my customary practice, to take photos of headstones of any of my ancestors if they still existed.  Unfortunately, word came back that many of the older graves were lost in the move.  Below are a few photos currently taken of the present parish cemetery.

Below are a few photos from Filipow parish cemetery that are all most likely distant cousins and represent all of my family lineages from Filipow; Zlotorzynski, Samotyha, Sarosiek(Sarosiak), and Barszczewski.  The last photo is my distant cousin Teresa standing next to her grandfather's grave.  She and her husband, Gregorz, took all of these cemetery photos appearing on this page.
