Swarzedz Nowacki Family History

Swarzedz Molach Family History

Swarzedz parish records go back as far as 1772 and were put on microfilm by the LDS Church.  This family history is based upon actual parish church records.

Earliest Generation

The first record of my Molach lineage is the January 22, 1786 marriage of Martin Molach to Victoria Chatupnik.  This document lists Victoria's father as Joseph Chatupnik from Gortatowo and Martin's parents owned a farm in Zalesie.  Martin Molach moved to Gortatowo after leaving his family's farm.  He would always be listed as laborer on any church documents, but his children would all own farms in Gortatowo.  Martin and Victoria lived in Gortatowo all of their lives.  Their marriage produced seven children. Below is their family tree verified by parish records.  Martin and Victoria are my great, great, great, great grandparents.

   Second Generation

My great, great, great grandfather Joannes Molach was born on June 17, 1801.  He was the sixth of seven children.  Joannes grew up to become a farmer.  On April 29, 1828 he married Margaritha Wojaichowski.  Parish records do not show any baptism records for Margaritha, so it is believed that the Wojaichowski family moved into this area sometime after 1808.  Joannes and Margaritha always lived in Gortatowo.  They had five children.  Their last child, Magdalena, would marry into the Nowacki family.  Below is the Joannes Molach family as verified by parish records.

  New Cousin Line Connected

One point that I always have stressed on this website is the importance to put your family tree on-line.  Such a website reaches out and eventually makes connections to other cousin lineages.  This factual statement have just proven true again.  Because of this site in June 2007, I  was contacted by a Mollach line researcher that could not make the jump to European research.  I mentioned the Poznan Marriage Project, transcriptions currently going up of parish records in the Poznan province.  Apparently early in 2008, Swarzedz parish transcriptions were posted and this researcher contacted me of her connection verified to Swarzedz.  My research notes of the Molach/Mollach line verified our 3rd cousin twice removed bloodline.  Research is now getting organized to obtain documents for the Batholemew Family Tree below derived from my original notes.  Batholemew Mollach is shown above in the Martin Mollach tree.  This tree will change as actual retrieved documents are located.  Stanislaus Mollach(born 1841), married Cordula Saur in 1869 in Swarzeds parish.   In 1883, the Stanislaus Mollach family immigrated to the US and settled in New Jersey.  Stanislaus was the 1st cousin of my bloodline heritage from Swarzedz of Magdalena Mollach Nowacki.  These two 1st cousins lines apparently did not realize that the other had also immigrated to the US in the 1880's.  But now both cousin lines have been reunited through genealogy research.

WELCOME NEW COUSIN LINE!!!
