Born in a log house on the "old Rickens farm" in Shiloh, Cramahe, Ontario35 Came to US when he was 17. Worked on a farm north of Garland,NY 1925. Worked at Auto Laundry after marriage, Brockport Cannery, then A & P Freight house in Hornell, NY during the Depression. Then became homesick and returned to Clarendon, NY in 1931 and lived with Naomi Davis (sister-in law) above the Clarendon Falls. Got a job with Jasper "Jap" Robinson. Moved to the house where Tony Cole lives that spring. Lived on Brown School house Rd. in 1938. Worked for Jap Robinson 15 years. Then started work at Holley Cold Storage in 1948.
