Salt of the Earth

(This site is under construction currently, so some links won't work yet.)

Overview

This website has much information from the efforts of many cousins for generations. Originally the searching resulted from such things as talking to other relatives, putting a search out into newspapers to find those relatives, getting records personally from such places as county courthouses. Back in the old days, it was so easy to lose track of each other. This was due to lack of the modern technology like phones and internet.

Currently research results in much the same manner as in the pioneering era, except we have the added benefits of microfilm, internet searches, telephone, computers and photocopiers. We cousins still search for and find each other, discussing who we and our ancestors are. Now we share data over the internet, as well as in CD's and through photocopy of records. We, as in ages past, are a record keeping people.

Our family is one of love for family, and enjoyment of bringing the generations back together. We look forward to hearing from you, to include our close family.

What were the characteristics of our family, which have been carried forward to the current? Pioneering, endurance no matter the cost, love of family, service to others, Gospel centered, teachers, musical, creative, inventive, mechanical, builders, great cooks, make things work, make due with what we have without too much complaint, seeking to better ourselves, military people who served throughout the ages, taking care of our own and others, independent, survivors. In short, we tend to be the Salt of the Earth, who attempt to make the world a great place to live in. Overview Download

The information on this website is a work in progress. I know there are errors in some of it. Please take some of the information with a grain of salt, and PLEASE feel free to send corrections and additions. We welcome it. As I mentioned earlier, there are many of us cousins who have and continue to do a lot of research. Its our intent to be as accurate as possible. Many of the more recent lines will be more accurate. Please help us create an accurate record of our family.
