Now I am including some more recent photos of the general family. John Michael Whelton had at least 9 patents in his name from his years of working at the United Shoe Company. The can be seen on the Canadian Patent Office website. Check out numbers 310466, 336352, 368489, 369262, 361318, 391851, 399223, 407332 and 539135. Someone told John Joseph Whelton that the Smithsonian Museum at one point had one of John Michael Whelton's patents on exhibit.
