The National Mission Services have been well attended, and the Bishop's messenger, the Rev. D. H. BRIGGS, Rector of Dodbrooke, Kingsbridge, gave many earnest addresses, which were listened to with marked attention.
The funeral of Mr. John ROOKLEY, of Crosslands, took place in the churchyard on Wednesday afternoon. In his earlier days deceased worked at Halberton Court, and later for Mr. William ELWORTHY, road contractor, but for some years had been a helpless invalid. Many friends and relations attended the funeral.
