SAINTHILL.

Harvest thanksgiving services were held at the Baptist Church, Sainthill, last week. An inspiring sermon was preached by Rev. Noel IVES (Cullompton). Tea was presided over by Mesdames H. and J. COTTRELL, STEVENS, BOWERMAN, REED, J. REED, F. SNELL, and Misses LONG, REED, BAKER, MENDHAM and STEVENS. At the evening meeting the chairman was Mr. C. RAVEN (Cullompton), and addresses were delivered by Rev. B. E. HARLICK (Bradninch) and Noel IVES and Mr. E. J. HART (Exeter). Mr. Stanley COTTRELL presided at the organ. The chapel was tastefully decorated with fruit, flowers, etc., by Mrs. ROOKLEY, Mrs. STEVENS, Misses BAKER, MENDHAM, REED and STEVENS, whilst the schoolroom was decorated by Misses R. REED, P. LANE, M. BIRD and little Joan LANE (scholars of the Sunday School). Collections were in aid of the chapel funds.
