BARRINGTON
DEATH AND FUNERAL OF MR. G. W. ROWSWELL. - The death took place on Friday after a short illness of Mr. George William ROWSWELL, of 1, Allenby Cottages, Barrington. He was 80 years of age. For 48 years he worked on Denman's Farm for Mr. Alec BRISTER and his father. The funeral was on Tuesday at Barrington, the service, which was choral, being conducted by the Rev. J. B. GLASS (Vicar of the parish). Miss BOND was at the organ. The mourners were:- Mr. and Mrs. Edward WELCH, Taunton (daughter and son-in-law), Mr. Sidney ROWSWELL (son), Miss Lily ROWSWELL (daughter), Mr. Charles ROWSWELL and Mr. Herbert ROWSWELL (brothers), Mr. William ROWSWELL (nephew), and Mr. Fred WELCH and Miss Joan WELCH, Taunton (grandchildren). Owing to illness, Mrs. ROWSWELL (widow), and Mrs. DOWDEN, Wimbledon (sister-in-law), were unable to attend. The bearers were Messrs. I. BRISTER, W. BRISTER, A. BOND, M. WOODLAND, B. BRIDGE, and B. COOK. There were many floral tributes.
