LONG SUTTON

OLD INHABITANT'S DEATH

The death occurred on Saturday at Upton of Mrs. Elizabeth Ann SCRIVEN, widow of Mr. Joseph SCRIVEN, who predeceased her eight years ago. The late Mrs. SCRIVEN was one of the oldest inhabitants of the village. Her bright and cheerful disposition endeared her to many.

The funeral took place on Tuesday and was attended by a large number of relatives and friends. The service was held at the Pitney Congregational Church, and was conducted by the Rev. Arthur LAMB, superintendent minister. Interment was at the Pitney Churchyard, where the Rev. S. A. BRUCE (vicar of Pitney) assisted. There was a large number of beautiful floral tributes, including a token from the members of the Congregational Church.

The relatives of the late Mrs. SCRIVEN wish to thank all friends for letters of sympathy and for floral tributes sent.
