WATER-COLOUR PAINTER'S SUCCESS
Mrs. M. R. MATTOCK, Trull-road, Taunton, has had one of her ivory water-colour miniatures accepted and hung by the Royal Society of Miniature Painters. This success follows the acceptance of three miniatures by the Paris Salon and by the Royal Glasgow Society of Fine Arts and the Royal West of England Academy. Mrs. MATTOCK, who paints under her maiden name of Lorna BARING-GOULD, is the granddaughter of the late Rev. S. BARING-GOULD, for many years vicar of Lewtrenchard and well-known for his many books.
