Former Licensee at Fivehead
Funeral of Mr. T. J. FOX
Mr. Thomas John FOX, aged 64, of South View Farm, Fivehead, died on Saturday a few hours after being admitted to Musgrove Park Hospital.
For 23 years he was the licensee of The Crown Inn, until he retired in 1951. He leaves a wife, two sons and a daughter.
The funeral service on Wednesday morning at Fivehead Parish Church was conducted by the Vicar (the Rev. C. W. DANIEL), and Mrs. B. ADAMS was the organist. Afterwards the body was cremated at Arno's Vale Crematorium, and later the ashes were interred in the Fivehead Parish Churchyard.
The mourners were:- Mrs. FOX (wife), Mr. and Mrs. F. FOX (son and daughter-in-law), Mr. and Mrs. E. KNIGHT (son-in-law and daughter), Mr. M. FOX (son), Mrs. M. CHORLEY and Mrs. A. WATTS (sisters-in-law), Mr. T. SLACK (brother-in-law), Miss P. WATTS (niece), Mr. B. WATTS and Mr. E. SLACK (nephews), Mr. B. BRISTER and Mr. and Mrs. W. WILLIAMS, Bristol (cousins).
Others present included: Capt. C. A. K. MATTERSON, Mr. and Mrs. S. MILLER, Mr. T. HARRIS, Mr. V. COUZENS, Mr. P. LUXTON, Mr. R. N. WOODLAND (representing B. G. WYATT, Ltd., Chard), Mr. R. J. LIMM, Mr. O. BRICE, Mrs. V. M. GARLAND, Mr. B. LUXTON, Mr. D. BRICE, Mrs R. YARDE (also representing Mr. R. YARDE), Mrs. H. YARDE (also representing Mr. H. YARDE), Mrs. W. A. HAWTHORN, Mr. C. W. The funeral arrangements were by Mr. Leonard E. SMITH, Haydon-road, Taunton.
