TAUNTON NEWS

INCREASING TRADE. - Recently we reported concerning the large number of animals slaughtered at Sunnybank for the London markets by Mr Wm HOWARD. This week there have been killed there upwards of 100 first-rate wether sheep, above 50 choice lambs, 14 pigs, and two magnificent Devon oxen (nearly 60 score each), bred and fed by Messrs HUDDY, near Ilminster. The same excellent staff as at first is still carrying on this busy work, including, of course, Mr HEDLEY, the superintendent, and Mr William BATTEN, the efficient slaughterman. There are many visitors, and though there are so many animals passing to and fro there is not the slightest nuisance to this respectable neighbourhood.
