DEATH AND FUNERAL OF MISS F. E. THRESHER. - It is with regret that we record the death of Miss Florence Eliza THRESHER, oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. T. THRESHER, of Staplegrove, who passed away on Wednesday week after a few days' illness. The deceased had for over 12 years held a responsible position at the Taunton School, where she was much esteemed, and much sympathy is felt for the family in their sad bereavement. - The funeral took place at St. James's Cemetery on Saturday, the Rev. T. S. DAWSON conducting the service. The mourners were:- Mr. and Mrs. T. THRESHER (father and mother), Mr. Wm. THRESHER and Mrs. DEVERELL (brother and sister), Mr. F. THRESHER and Mrs. BOBBETT (brother and sister), Mr. and Mrs. Edwin THRESHER (brother and sister-in-law). There were also present at the graveside Dr. C. D. WHITTAKER (headmaster of Taunton School), Mr. and Mrs. WISSON, Miss BARNES, Nurse STARLING, Mr. RANDALL, Mr. RICE, and many others from the Taunton School. Floral tributes were sent by the following:- The family; Miss WHITTAKER; the boys of Taunton School; Miss BARNES; the male and female staff; brother Edwin and sisters Hart and Pollie; Maud and Wallace; nieces and nephews; Mr. and Mrs. HAWKINS and family; Mr. and Mrs. RANDALL; Miss M. BOND; Jim and Nell; Mrs. THORN and Alice; Annie and Lucy (Wales); Sophie, Walt., Stanley, and Gracie; Mr. and Mrs. RICE; Mrs. MANLEY; Mr. and Mrs. G. RENDEL; Mr. and Mrs. REDWOOD; Sara and Eliza; Mr. and Mrs. J. LANE. The breastplate bore the following inscription:- “Florence Eliza Thresher, died June 10th, 1914, age 43 years.”
