FIVEHEAD

DEATH OF MR. E. KEMP

The death occurred suddenly on Monday of Mr. E. KEMP. He had been in ill-health for some three or four months, but was bright and cheerful and talking with friends an hour before he died. He leaves a widow, one son and three daughters.

Mr. KEMP was a retired postal official, and formerly lived in London. On his retirement he came to Fivehead to the old home of Mrs. KEMP, who was the youngest daughter of the late Mr. George and Mrs. M. A. PAUL, of Fivehead. Mr. KEMP successfully carried out the duties of secretary and collector for the King's Silver Jubilee, and King George the VI. Coronation, besides helping to raise funds for various objects by skittles matches and whist drives. He also gave valuable help to the Baptist Church, which both he and his wife attended.
