MINIATURES FOR EXHIBITION

A Taunton artist, Elisabeth Lorna BARING-GOULD (Mrs. M. R. MATTOCK, of 9, Hovelands, Taunton), has had two miniatures in water colours accepted by the Royal Glasgow Institute of Fine Arts for their 86th annual exhibition of work (contemporary artists). Lorna BARING-GOULD is a well-known local exhibitor, and her work has been hung on numerous occasions in the West Country. She is the grand-daughter of the late Rev. Sabine BARING-GOULD, who for many years was vicar of Lewtrenchard, Devon, and famous for his hymn writing and for his writings on archaeology.
