HUISH EPISCOPI

FUNERAL.- The funeral of the late Mr. A. G. BOWN, of Merricks' Farm, Wearne, took place on Friday of last week, amid every manifestation of sympathy. The cortege was met at Huish Episcopi Parish Church by the Rev. J. M. SKITTERY, vicar of Long Sutton, who officiated at the service, owing to the illness of the Rev. J. STUBBS. A large number of mourners were present, including Mrs. BOWN, widow; Messrs, Bert, Reg and Harold BOWN, sons; Mrs. J. B. SPEARING, daughter; Misses Ada, Gertie and Mabel BOWN, daughters; Master Clifford BOWN, son; Mr. and Mrs. Robert BOWN, brother and sister-in-law; Mr. and Mrs. Frank BOWN, brother and sister-in-law; Mr. and Mrs. Vincent BOWN, brother and sister-in-law; Mrs. B. BOWN, and Mrs. R. BOWN, daughters-in-law; Mr. E. GROVES and Mr. J. B. SPEARING, sons-in-law; and Mr. H. SAWTELL, and Mr. E. BONNING, brothers-in-law. The bearers were Messrs. Herbert, Frank, Bob and William BOWN, nephews of deceased. The coffin was of polished elm, with brass fittings, and the breastplate bore the inscription:- "Albert George Bown, died January 15th 1921, aged 57 years." Messrs. J. T. Knapp and Son satisfactorily carried out the funeral arrangements. There was a large number of beautiful floral tributes, including the following:- "In ever loving memory of a dear husband and father, from his sorrowing wife and children"; "In remembrace," from Grandpa's little grandchildren; "With deepest sympathy," from his brother and sister, Robert and Lizzie (Pitney); "With deepest sympathy," from his brother and sister, Frank and Polly; "In ever loving memory of dear brother George," from brother Vincent and Florrie; "In loving remembrance of dear Uncle," from Bob and Hart; "In loving memory of dear Uncle," from Jim and Flo; "With deepest sympathy," from his niece, Carrie; "In sweet remembrance of dear Uncle," from his nieces and nephews, Ell, Beat, Perce, and Sid (Pitney); "In fond remembrance of dear Uncle," from Enid; "With deepest sympathy," from Harry and Lil; "With much sympathy," from Ern and Bessie (Newtown); "With deepest sympathy, and loving memory," from Charl and Laura (Wimborne); "With deepest sympathy," from Bill and Mabel (London); "With loving sympathy," Bill (Lydney, Glos.); "With all true sympathy, from Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Sheppard; "With sympathy," from Mr. and Mrs. HURLEY & family; "With deepest sympathy," from Mr. and Mrs. DAUNTON and family (Clifton). Mrs. BOWN and family desire to thank the many friends for their kind enquiries and letters, which are too numerous to answer individually.
